Welcome to the 17th edition of French 5, where I share a glimpse of France through language, places, food and drink, arts and culture, as well as a random fun fact.
In this week’s edition, meet Alice and Anaïs, the Parisian founders of a creative studio and media outlet for positive business.

Featuring || Alice and Anaïs of @Girlzpop_ and @MoyoParis
Bonjour ! We are Alice and Anaïs, founders of our creative studio @Girlzpop_ and @MoyoParis, a media for positive business. We develop and share the positive spirit with our business projects and our home - an 80m2 apartment located on the 5th floor of a Haussmannian building in heart of Paris. We thought of this place as a space for reception and dynamic creation. We love collaborating with creative people with creations from our imagination. The decoration takes pride of place in the project for its aesthetic dimension but also in the welcoming spirit that we instill.
01 Language || C’est génial!
"C'est genial !" Translation : It's awesome. We use it all the time, because meeting new people and incredible projects are the best things in life. Nous sommes toujours le coeur ouvert. (We always have an open heart.)
02 Place || Klin d’oeil
La boutique "klin d'oeil". 6 Rue Deguerry, 75011 Paris. Pour toutes les belles rencontres que l'on y fait et nos amis incroyables qui ont cet endroit - Les soeurs Capman. C'est aussi l'endroit parfait pour trouver des cadeaux, de la déco, de la mode de créateurs français et pour faire des ateliers créatifs. Depuis peu de temps, ils ont aussi un petit café. Notre rêve est qu'elles occupent toute la rue au fur et à mesure.
The boutique “Klin d’oeil” at 6 Rue Deguerry, 75011 Paris. For all the beautiful encounters here and our incredible friends who own this place - the Capman sisters. It’s also the perfect location for finding gifts, decor, fashion by French creators and for creative workshops. Recently, they’ve also set up a little café. Our dream is that they take over the whole street bit by bit.
03 Food & Drink || Shawarma from Ibrik Deli and more!
Les crêpes du dimanche soir, un rituel que l'on a avec des amis. On aime aussi beaucoup croquer dans un shawarma ou une pide de Ibrik deli : best homemade delicious food from the Balkans in Paris - nous avons créé la décoration du lieu et nous aimons beaucoup Cathy, la cheffe du lieu. Aussi Alice fait des croques-monsieur de folie. Anais met du basilic dans la salade fraises et de la lavande avec les abricots. Nous pourrions parler de cuisine des heures ! Sunday night crêpes, a ritual we have with friends. We also love biting into a shawarma or a pide from Ibrik Deli, the most delicious homemade food from the Balkans in Paris. We also created the decor for the place and we really like Cathy, the deli’s manager. Alice makes a crazy good croque-monsieur. Anais makes a strawberry salad with basil that’s great and mixes lavender with apricots. We could discuss food for hours! You can find our favourite restaurants in Paris in our Instagram guides.
04 Arts & Culture || Librairies and the Fondation Louis Vuitton
Les librairies Ofr, La régulière pour les livres sociaux-politiques et engagement qu'Anais adore, La librairie de Paris pour les livres de poésie qu'Alice adore. Le théâtre "Théâtre du soleil" à la Cartoucherie de Vincennes, un endroit magique à Paris, chaque pièce d'Ariane Mnouchkine y est un événement. Nous aimons aussi beaucoup la fondation Louis Vuitton, les expositions sont chaque fois incroyables.
The Libraries Ofr is the go-to spot for the social-political involvement books Anais loves and the Librairie de Paris is Alice’s destination for poetry books. The Théâtre du Soleil at the Cartoucherie de Vincennes is a magical place in Paris. Each work by Ariane Mnouchkine is an event. We also really like the Foundation Louis Vuitton - their exhibits are always incredible.
05 Fun Fact || Brasserie breakfasts
Les petits déjeuners dans les brasserie. Un pain beurre confiture oeuf à la coque au "café francoeur" ou au café "au vrai paris" avant de commencer la journée. On regarde passer les gens, c'est notre premier levier de création dans la journée.
Breakfast in a brasserie. Bread with butter, jam and a soft-boiled egg at Café Francoeur or at the café Au Vrai Paris is a great way to start the day. People watching provides our first creative spark of the day.
