Snowshoeing in Paris

Snowshoeing at Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area in Paris, Ontario.

With the sun shining down on a thick layer of freshly fallen snow, we knew we needed to get outside and take full advantage of the beautiful winter scenery Southwestern Ontario has to offer. We drove past the town of Paris to the Pinehurst Lake Conservation Area, where we strapped on snowshoes and set off on our walk. Despite the blue skies, we passed only a few other friendly winter activity enthusiasts. We basically had the run of the park to ourselves. This fairly inexpensive activity ($16.50/person for park entry and snowshoe rental) is definitely one we will consider next sunny weekend day this winter.
